Raymond is an accomplished UK Chartered Accountant (ICAEW Fellow), and Former KPMG Managing/Senior Partner in Sierra Leone and Malawi, with a wealth of experience working within Banking and Financial Services, as well as with Commerce & Industry clients in developing economies.
He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) in the UK.
SELECTED CLIENT EXPERIENCE
• Raymond has been involved in advising clients, both from an audit, assurance services and advisory perspective, as well as covering financial due diligence, financial reporting, risk management and compliance.
• In early 2006, Raymond returned to the UK from Malawi and took up the position of Director in the Financial Services Group at KPMG London, dealing with banking clients and providing advisory services in securitisation, mergers and acquisitions until September 2008 when he retired from KPMG.
• Following his retirement from KPMG London in 2008, Raymond undertook the OAMLP at Oxford Said Business School, subsequently, Ray has been working as an Independent Financial Management Consultant and was up to recently (2019), Executive Chairman of the Baker Tilly Firm in Sierra Leone.
• Raymond has also undertaken World Bank Consultancy roles in the Middle East and North Africa, and has good experience of, as well as strong relationships in the region.
